Collection 1:
Black and gold are a great color combination for Christmas. This collection has two gold Christmas trees on a black background. You can recreate a similar look using black paper and gold gel markers or pens . Creating art on black paper is one of my favorite artist moments. Check out how to buy supplies to create this look.
The collection includes four standard Christmas trees if you are looking for a more traditional Christmas tree to draw.
My favorite is the retro Christmas tree . This tree with its blocky structure, yellow backdrop and yellow presents is a distinct 80's retro flare Christmas tree .
Two trees look like they are melting in this winter collection. An ice cream cone Christmas tree has lights for sprinkles with a star on top. The other tree has a trippy vibe that gives it a melting Christmas tree look .
A Christmas tree trapped in a snowglobe creates a festive scene. I recommend starting this by drawing the base then adding the large snow globe sphere. Adding snow to create a snow-covered Christmas tree gives it a completely different look.
Under the snowglobe, three festive trees are decorated in red, white and blue. These American flag Christmas trees give them a sharp patriotic Christmas tree look.
Collection 2:
This collection features several basic Christmas trees . The first tree has several layers of triangles layered on top of each other. Cut outs of greens stars help to decorate this colorful tree.
Brushstrokes can create a simple tree. When you start at one end of the tree branch use a heavy pressure to make the branch thicker. Then slowly use less pressure as you reach the end of the branch. Alternate which side you start on until you reach the top of this brushstroke Christmas tree .
Red and gold are a beautiful holiday combination. Using red paper as a backdrop try to replicate this gorgeous simple gold Christmas tree . Start with a simple Christmas star . For help making a Christmas star check our my other post – How to Draw a Star on YouTube .
Then use sweeping pen strokes to make a simple outline. Add in a string of circles as a Christmas tree garland .
For a Glowing Neon Silver Christmas tree try using dark navy paper and a silver gel or glitter pen. Check out which Glitter and Gel pens I recommend . Start with a Christmas star at the top and then swirl a line down from the star as if drawing a ribbon. Then go back and add simple stars using a dark pen, then using the silver pen go and add in highlights for each star to make it glow!
The collection includes three standard Christmas trees if you are looking for a more traditional and natural Christmas tree to draw.
Silhouettes are always a simple and basic drawing idea. These Christmas tree silhouettes are classic and elegant shapes that can be used as a template to trace or can be a simple Christmas design element .
Make your Christmas tree out of dots just like the classic Lite-Brite toy. Use dots to create a Christmas tree outline .
The last example in this collection has the Christmas trees swaying with lights on them making them look like Dancing Christmas trees . These trees are made of simple triangles set at an angle.
Collection 3:
Up for a little challenge? This collection gathers Christmas trees that can be drawn without lifting your pencil .
Some may require additional detail afterwards but each tree body can be created with one long pencil motion. Give each one a try to test your artistic skills.
Collection 4:
Collection 4 features more easy to draw Christmas trees .
Making a geometric Christmas tree like these examples instead of a more realistic tree achieves the Christmas look with less effort. Using only circles or different shaped triangles creates many of the examples here.
I also added in a trippy Christmas tree that is pie shaped and simply alternates black and white lines . This one is my favorite!
Many of the trees feature a Christmas star so I included a unique star example made of simple triangles arranged around a circle that looks like a sun.
Collection 5:
Once you have picked out your Christmas trees to draw look at this last collection that also features other Christmas stuff to draw like wreaths , presents , Christmas bells , reindeer , snowman , multiple Christmas lights ideas and other Christmas decorations .
Use these to draw an entire wintery Christmas scene or Christmas picture .
Conclusion:
As you can see there are so many creative and unique ways to draw Christmas trees . Enjoy being artistic as you get in the holiday spirit.
Never stop learning!
